Disboard is arguably the most effective Discord server listing website for discord servers.

Bumping

Disboard is very easy to set up. You will be required to add the bot to the server. Unlike other bump bots where you have to set up in a discord channel, Disboard is all online besides the bump command “!d bump”, which puts your server up on the list of servers. The cooldown is 2 hours. For the best results, Either get a team or yourself and try to bump as many times a day. If you need a bot that tells you when to bump again, I suggest Yagpdb or UnbelievaBoat. These bots can be used to send pinged messages in your server or by DM to remind you that it’s time to bump. Check out at the end of the article on how you fully setup your server.

“From my past experience, it took me no more than 5 minutes to fully set up disboard and get right to bumping.” — Proteus#1999

Tags

Tags are the most important compenent of your bump advertisement. The single most common mistake that I see people make when using Disboard is that they fail to understand the significance of tags. This is a very detrimental mistake to make as they boost the likelihood of someone finding the server and they must be taken seriously. Your tags are almost entirely responsible for the exposure that your page will receive. Having tags that describe your server and words that are most commonly searched on disboard benefits a lot right after bumping. For example, if the server relates to advertising, some tags would be “promote”, “advertising”, and “promotion”.

“Since I own an advertisement server, I have “promote” as one of my tags and sometimes when users join they say that they searched up “promote” as found my server.” — Proteus#1999

Descriptions

Aside from your tags, your description is also very important. The description must persuade the reader through words into joining your server. Your ad should be well written andd easy to read. Writing a brief summary at the top of my description, followed by a bullet point section which demonstrates the unique qualities and features of the server that makes it stand out . If your server does not have any unique or enticing features to offer members, it may not interest them enough to join. A most common mistake found in description is that either its too long or has grammatical issues. Try to make your description short and clear. Here are some questions that you should ask yourself when making a description: What can I offer my members? Whats unique about my server? Why should people join?
